About this trip

Autumn isn’t over yet! This time we’re heading into the Hoher Fläming Nature Park, one of the quietest and greenest corners of Brandenburg, with rolling hills, forests in their last autumn colours, and wide views over the countryside.

Schloss Wiesenburg :A grand palace with a tall tower, surrounded by one of the most beautiful landscape parks in Brandenburg. Old trees, ponds, terraces and long avenues make it especially lovely in autumn.

The Hagelberg: At 200 m, the Hagelberg is the highest point of the Fläming. It’s also a place of history: in 1813 Prussian militia defeated Napoleon’s troops here, and memorials still stand on the hilltop. It’s a quiet, open summit with views across the hills.

The Fläming forests : Between the villages lie forests, fields and the “Rummeln”, unusual dry valleys carved by meltwater at the end of the Ice Age. They’re found almost nowhere else in Germany.

Burg Eisenhardt : A medieval castle above the spa town of Bad Belzig, with its round tower, the Butterturm, looking out over the rooftops. It’s especially beautiful in the late afternoon light.
