Jasmund chalk cliffs, Rügen

On Rügen's Jasmund peninsula, bright white chalk cliffs drop into the Baltic Sea, framed by deep green beech forest. The woods are part of a UNESCO World Heritage site, and the coastal trails keep switching between shady forest and big sea views. It is a spring favourite for us, when the beeches turn fresh green.
